Beauty: Then and Now - In the eyes of Cut Video

Ola humans!
Class has officially started and it means I have to battle for my assignments while enjoying the days of being a student.
This is my last semester in my final year of degree.
I'm kind of like in a situation that I want/don't want my semester ends quickly.
I'm not ready to step out to the society and work for the rest of my life, DESPITE... I LOVE MONEY.

Photo from Giphy

Rolling in a pile of cash is my dream/ambition.
Just let me dwell in those filthy money.

So today I came across CUT Video on YouTube and I instantly got suck into their universe.
Cut Video has many types of uploads that discuss about different subjects, ex:
'One word' - Describe a given topic in just one word;
'Sexy Charades' - Some insane sex moves and couples just act it (fully on clothes, of course);
'Asian Food vs Asian People' - You get the idea;
some a lot more interesting topics..... and finally,
it's the '100 Years Of...'  which is my FAV.

So far, they have 5 episodes of '100 Years Of...' and I like every bit of it.
It is a time lapse about the evolution of beauty in different countries throughout the century.
I really like that they did deep research about the essence of beauty in different decades and it actually teaches people nowadays about the beauty transformation from the olden days until today.
You can see every detail is carefully plot and I think it inspires people to know more about fashion.
Might even bring back some of the trend in the past!

My Fav is definitely Episode 4 - Korea.

The fact that split the evolution into North and South Korea is utterly GENIUS.
I bet most of the people in this world are just curious what is happening in North Korea right now.
It's so mysterious, like smoke and mirror all over it.

I have class at tomorrow 10 AM (GMT +8) so, good night and I'll post again as soon as tomorrow.

With love,
uweng

Dad and My first little review

So My Dad is back from Johor for the weekends and he is going back to Johor tomorrow.
So busy.
Never mind, at least I get to watch football with him.
Man Utd vs Aston Villa, we didn't really put high hopes on this games.
Oh, Aston Villa just scored.
WTF.

Someone just teach him how to win.
I'm gonna break the TV into half. SOON.

AH, about my review.
It's my first ever beauty review.
Confetti, champagne, celebrations y'all.

A toast to me and my first review.
And I'm introducing y'all a moisturizer for face which I think it's quite good. In My opinion.

RM59.90 for 50ml.
Quite reasonable for an organic brand because everything in Malaysia is getting more expensive than ever.
It's from The Body Shop and it's a day cream which you apply it only on day time.
I wash my face, pat with toner and then I apply this day cream then I put on my makeup.
Easy as that.

One of the reasons I like this cream because it moisture my face, very cooling and it prevent any excess oil from popping out but then, my face doesn't gets too dry.
The thing is like this,

when your face is too dry --- makeup meltdown, BIG TIME.
when your face is too oily --- another makeup meltdown, look just like cake batter.

So this cream can prevent the 2 horrible scenes above from happening on your face.
Which is very important because makeup meltdown makes people look ugly.
And this cream has a light scent, not too strong or smell like antibiotic syrup, I'm comfortable with it.
Just apply a thin coat of this cream on your face before putting any sunblock or whatever,
and voila.

Therefore, I like this cream and this is a sincere review, hope this can help people who suffer from makeup meltdown and other people who wanted to purchase any moisturizer.

Oh, Man Utd 2 and Aston Villa 1.
It's only half time, I don't expect much.

Appointment and conversations

Finally, after 10 years of appointments and obstacles and schedule changing,
We FINALLY get to go out. TOGETHER.

Rachel, I, Jessica

We finally able to agree a date, which is today, and we went for a lunch together at a restaurant called 'Antipodean'.
For food reviews just google it, I don't really know what to review because this is my first time eating.

The point is not really on the lunch,
it's about a little tie between us called......

Noisiness = VERY VERY VERY NOISY.

Because Rachel and I got no car, so Jessica got no choice but to be the driver.
HOW GENEROUS OF HER.
When 3 of us squeeze in the car,
either one of us started to talk/scream/yell,
I thought my eardrum is going to explode.
IT WAS TOO NOISY.
Especially when we were in a car,
and sound reflects and repeat in a small space.
The only thing you hear is AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and laughing sound because I think we said something funny??

Rachel:" Jessica, turn right."

Jessica:" Ok, go straight~"

Rachel:" TURN RIGHT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

or

Jessica:" I'm had insomnia last night, my metabolism is burning me XD"

or

Rachel:" Why you suddenly break???!!!"

Jessica:" In front that car laaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Me:" It's okay, there will be a pink lip stain at the back of her seat. "

or

Jessica and I:" Wong Rachel, we thought we told you to dress nicely."

Rachel:" Yea a, I didn't wear this shirt to college before a~"

or

Rachel:" I didn't buy bra today T_T "

or

Jessica:" Korean use seaweed to make facial mask, that's why their skin so smooth~"

Me:" Korean boils the seaweed and stick at their face a??"

Jessica and Rachel:" HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA their will burn their face la HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA"

and many more. I forgot most of them.
I only remember we laughed so hard and so loud and everyone looked at us.
It was really fun seeing both of them.
I suggested let's have another appointment next month,

Jessica:" Next week IS next month AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

I really don't know why she laughed at that.

Hardcore

So last night another BFF of mine - Sim Lu invited me to go to a online advertising company's party.
I felt...... Awkwardly fun because I talked to her only and I ate A LOT.

The dressing theme for the night is 'James Bond/ Bond Girl' and I don't think I dress like James Bond or any of his Bond Babes.
I looked...... Decent. Yeah~ DECENT :D
And basically both of us were like talking and talking and taking photos at the photo booth.
Well, a self-proclaimed 'Doctor' came to Sim Lu and bullshited his way,
to me, he was bullshitting because he doesn't look like a good guy, to me.
I was busying eating and drinking because the food is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't take any food photos because I was busy stuffing everything into my mouth.
Gosh, I can imagine I look like a monster.

FEAR ME. RAWR.
Anyway, they have this barbeque-herb and spices-marinated chicken breast on a stick is so DERRRICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I REPEAT. DERRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tasted the lemon grass and chili flakes and lemon zest/ juice and some other herbs and spices oh mai gawd it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I ate 6 sticks.
I think the chefs recognized me because I walked there again and again and again just for their chicken breast on a stick.
How embarrassing...... NOT.
I was an invited guest, I EAT FOOD.

So I was watching Food Network Asia on the TV and they were airing 'Unique Sweets' and 'Unique Eats' at that particular moment and I sometimes wonder how come such channel exist.
It's torturing I tell you. TORTURING.
They were introducing some restaurants/ cafes/ shops in the US which serve derrrriiiicious food.
And they introduced a pizzaria called 'Settebello' and omg their pizza look so derrriiiiicious I think I am hallucinating because I can smell the pizza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those chefs/ food writers said their pizza is like thin, crispy, traditional stove-baked crust top with pure tomato sauce, chewy, nutty CHEESE and other toppings like herbs or cubes and cubes or meat.
When you bite it, it's soft and crunchy at the same time and the juice of the meat and the tomato sauce just burst out from the pizza and swoosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In goes your stomach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

......

I wanna have pizza right now.
I WANT PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just torturing myself.
I'm so hungry right n0w.
My mouth watered because of those little description of the pizza I typed above.
I feel so empty right now.
Boyfriend is not here with me now, and no pizza.
My Boyfriend and I love eating pizza.
I think I love eating pizza more than he does.
I have another BFF called Jessica and she is my pizza buddy.
We ALWAYS eat pizza.
Our obsession for pizza is so strong,
fat is not even a problem when we are eating pizza.

Old

So this afternoon I had a date with a long lost woman/ another bff/ biatch.

Yup.
Celebrating her birthday which was like a week ago.
But her birthday goes like FOREVER and therefore, I can celebrate her birthday with her whenever I want. Ha.
It's like our first date since 2 or 3 years ago I think.
So it's like 2 or 3 birthdays MASH UP celebration.
Of course, transport-less human like me need a driver like her to drive.
We went to Publika and ate like food and cake.
SO FULL.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY WOMAN.

Anyway,
when we were on our way home,
we went through the highway toll,
and I told her:

"When I'm old, I wanna be the money collector in the toll station."

And she said:

And then:

Dafuq.
I SAID WHEN I AM OLD.

Our conversation was like some 70/80 years old women talking, alongside they have their crazy cat with them.
Well, I feel I'm 10 times older when I talk to her.
Like you know,
when I talk, then she respond 10 seconds later,
when she talk, I respond 10 seconds later,
most of the time with this face.

Yep.
That's us.

Youth

In the middle of my workout session,
My uncle asked me what was I doing and he decided to teach me a few yoga pose.
Correction,
just one pose.
He fold his leg, cross legged and sit, calmly.
When I wanted/ trying/ forcefully trying to fold my legs,
I looked like the panda.
I mean seriously.
I folded and crossed my legs and I just fell on my back just like a human twister ball.

Just imagine my head stuck somewhere in the photo.
I really looked like that.
Awkward. Ugly. I don't know. Super ugly pose.
I look silly omg.

Anyway,
on Saturday My Momma took My Sistas and I to Klcc and we bought like tons of skin care products from The Body Shop.
And we bought this,

DROP OF YOUTH.
WOW.
So I will like look 10 years younger after I applied this??
AWESOME.
Sound like some botox shit going on y'all~

Botox yo.

Beautiful

Feeling like a Japanese Gal today
Thank You Camera 360 for making me look so flawless.
You didn't even realize there are actually pimples at ma forehead heh.

So I put on make up today because I went out with Ma Momma and Ma Sistas~
I wanna look GIRLY today~
So I stick the fake eyelashes I bought that day,
put on colour contact lens,
brushed some mascara and finally,
milky pink lip colour by one of my fav --- M.A.C Lovelorn~

I thought I would really look something rather like the following:

After tons of comparisons,
looking at my photo and looking at their photo and looked at mine again,
I thought I actually...... look like them.
Except for the freakishly dolly pink blush and pale face and golden brown/ yellowish hair colour.
I think I'm like the Simpsons version of them.
Yellow skin gal.

Well, at least I felt pretty today.
People were smiling at me and I didn't even smile at them.
I was just slightly raising the two corner of my lips upward.
The Starbucks guy smiled back at me like a million bucks.
And he wrote my name wrongly, adding a smiley behind my wrong address.
Something like that:

Lyn :)

My name is not 'Lyn'.
