Sunny and Gloomy

Aloha humans!
As promise in yesterday post (and my stressful tutorial classes haven't start),
I am posting my outfit that I wore to college today.
I called it 'Sunny and Gloomy' because the weather here is so crazy.
Sunny in the morning and all of the sudden, it rains like cray.

I wore a spaghetti strap jumpsuit with black and white stripes and ethnic patterns,
paired with a thin denim shirt.
Like I said,
the weather was crazy hot in the morning,
so I chose spaghetti strap jumpsuit.
Who knew, it rained in the afternoon.

I also accessorized with an arrow-headed bangle and an golden elephant charm bracelet.
Just to keep things simple.

A front view of my outfit.
I tied the denim shirt at my waist, creating an illusion that I have curve y'all~

A side view of my outfit and this is what I posted on my Instagram account.
The wall is my favourite tripod.

Jumpsuit : Cotton On || Denim shirt : Mirrocle, Fahrenheit 88, KL || Silver arrow-headed bangle : Cotton On || Golden elephant charm bracelet : Factorie

Beauty: Then and Now - In the eyes of Cut Video

Ola humans!
Class has officially started and it means I have to battle for my assignments while enjoying the days of being a student.
This is my last semester in my final year of degree.
I'm kind of like in a situation that I want/don't want my semester ends quickly.
I'm not ready to step out to the society and work for the rest of my life, DESPITE... I LOVE MONEY.

Photo from Reactiongifs

Photo from Giphy

Rolling in a pile of cash is my dream/ambition.
Just let me dwell in those filthy money.

So today I came across CUT Video on YouTube and I instantly got suck into their universe.
Cut Video has many types of uploads that discuss about different subjects, ex:
'One word' - Describe a given topic in just one word;
'Sexy Charades' - Some insane sex moves and couples just act it (fully on clothes, of course);
'Asian Food vs Asian People' - You get the idea;
some a lot more interesting topics..... and finally,
it's the '100 Years Of...'  which is my FAV.

So far, they have 5 episodes of '100 Years Of...' and I like every bit of it.
It is a time lapse about the evolution of beauty in different countries throughout the century.
I really like that they did deep research about the essence of beauty in different decades and it actually teaches people nowadays about the beauty transformation from the olden days until today.
You can see every detail is carefully plot and I think it inspires people to know more about fashion.
Might even bring back some of the trend in the past!

My Fav is definitely Episode 4 - Korea.

The fact that split the evolution into North and South Korea is utterly GENIUS.
I bet most of the people in this world are just curious what is happening in North Korea right now.
It's so mysterious, like smoke and mirror all over it.

I have class at tomorrow 10 AM (GMT +8) so, good night and I'll post again as soon as tomorrow.

MET Gala 2015

I baked chocolate chip cupcakes with chocolate ganache for my mom yesterday.
She ate it today and said......

"NOT NICE EH."

My heart broke.

 Photo from giphy

She said the cake is too hard.
I actually agree on that.
I shall improve by baking more.
Just...... not now...
CUZ CLASS STARTS TOMORROW.

Photo from imgbuddy

Anyway....
MET GALA 2015 is officially over and I am glad because part of it is a DISASTER.
The theme for this year is 'China: Through the looking glass' and I personally think some of the invited stars didn't really get the point of China.
To me,
China is a nation that is burst with rich culture, innovation, and histories.
There are many, many ways to bring out the Chinese identity.:
like the colours, symbols, patterns, food, and their language.
Tradition or the modern side of China is optional (I prefer the balance between both).
Unfortunately, some of the celebrities missed it.
Probably because they didn't have any Pokeballs or their stylists hate them very, very much.

Rihanna in Guo Pei
Photo from Elle

I love this so, so, so much!!!!!! (despite it ruled 9GAG)
On fleek and on point!
Reminds me of the arrogant and the confident of an emperor/empress.
Bravoooooo~

Justin Bieber in Balmain
Photo from Elle

A suit but also a not-so-boring-suit.
Unlike the tux like most of the male celebs wore,
JB suit is really stood out.
The golden embroidery dragon and the chang-shan collar + design = 200% perfection.
Modern and suits him well.

Jessica Hart in Valentino
Photo from Elle

Out of the celebs that dressed in red,
Miss Hart here is one of them that aced it.
As a person that watch shit loads of Chinese drama and movies,
no one carries Ba-gua pattern in such elegance and effortless.
Because usually it looks like this,

Dianna Argon in Tory Burch

The colour beige and cranes is a staple living creature that you can constantly see in Chinese dramas that took place in the olden days.
Now THIS is the balance that I'm looking for.
Simple yet elegant.

Fan Bingbing in Christopher Bu
Photo from Chinesegrafitti

S L A Y E D.
A really exquisite piece and she owned it without breaking a sweat.
It's like this gown is tailored for her and ONLY her.
The overall concept of this gown is 'The Forbidden City'.
The colours, patterns embroider on the emerald cape and the golden shimmery dress is just stunnng.
Fan Bingbing + Christopher Bu = Dream Team/ Red Carpet Goal/ Show-stopper.

Emily Blunt in Prada
Photo from Nanzao

I really like the colour combination of this piece by Prada.
It matches well with Emily Blunt's dewy white skin.
Combining sky blue and navy blue with white floral embroideries.
Light and simply beautiful.

Bee Shaffer in Alexander McQueen

Another amazing piece with fine embroideries of white cranes and plum flowers.
It brings out the graceful atmosphere in the Chinese poems, which has a strong cultural sense to me.
Now THIS is what I call 'Chinese.'

Choice of song pt 1

So I'm still crazy over the Skechers D Lites thing.
They released D Lites Amazon.
IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL OH MA GADDDDDD.

Photo from Yahoo Japan

Photo from NM Plus

So...
I already have Nike Air Max 90 in ma shopping list,
and Skechers D Lites Wild Panda in white,
and Adidas Stella Sport Yvori Shoes in pastel neon,
and now,
D Lites Amazon.

I haven't graduate from my college (btw, it's my last semester... Biatch) and I can already smell bankruptcy is on its way.

Photo from Dailymail

Anyway,
before I btchin' bout' my financial status and my temporary shitty class schedule,
I wanna share (ain't btchin ' anymore) a lil taste of my music choice.
I'm not a big fan of indie music.
I literally know nothing about indie music.
It's just not my thang although there are more and more friends of mine are humming indie songs around me.
I'm a contemporary R&B kind of person.
I like beats, hip hop, pop, rap and all these things mash together, blend into smooth rhythms with hot lyrics, soulful vocal and incredibly sexy mood/atmosphere.
These songs make me relax, got me into great mood for the entire day.
My favs range from legends like MJ, Babyface, Boyz II Men to new bloods like Chris Brown, Omarion, August Alsina, Jeremih, Jay Park, AOMG crew, Tinashe and etc.
Need to dig out more of them singers.
Now then I realize why am I so addicted to the show Empire.

Of course I listen to other music genre,
I like rock n roll although it's dying (with all due respect),
I like country music like Rascal Flatts because they are the first ever country band that hits me so hard that I still remember their songs.
Maybe I'll make a list of my favourite songs in my next post.
I just hope I can still remember when I'm writing next post.

So here's some of the contemp R&B songs that I recently fall in deep love with.
Hope people who are reading this can play it and enjoy for the rest of your day.

Tinashe - 2 On ft. SchoolBoy Q

Omarion - Post to be ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko

DJ Khaled - Hold you down ft. Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future, & Jeremih
(OMG Chris Brown, August ALsina and Jeremih should just collab and produce an album TOGETHER)
PS: Is DJ Khaled serious about the "say my name" thing? XD

Jay Park - Sex Trip
(I keep singing this song to my BF and he flushed like cray HAHAHA)

Girly, not so girly

A luncheon yesterday with my family and this was my outfit of yesterday.
#OOTY
I wonder anyone in this world actually uses #OOTY.

Yesterday is all about 'Re.'
I got this idea last night that I wanna re-wear my old clothes and accessories.
Reuse, rewear, recycle.
Why not? I'm helping the Earth and my wallet to do money-saving BIG TIME.

What I posted on my Instagram account.
I bought that pair of round shade 1 or 2 years ago with Tong Lu.
It was a HIT back then, and the heat slowly fades, eventually, it died out.
However, yesterday was all about 'Re',
so time to put dem shades back on ma face!

A pink and navy T-shirt stripe dress from Uniqlo,
Napoleon stripe watch with rose gold ring from Daniel Wellington,
blue and red shoulder bag from Adidas Original,
and neon red casual shoes from Nike.

I bought this pair of gem about one or 2 years ago,
because I was crazy about hitting the gym and I bought this 'running/training' shoes... turns out it is actually for casual purpose.
I like neon red too but it is hard to match with most of my outfit,
so I am now trying (hard) to make the best out of it.

I usually match it with matching colour tone or neutral colour like white, black, grey and beige,
or with simple patterns like stripes or plain at all.
I won't blend it with bright colours because I don't want the brighter colours to overshadow the shoes.

Girly, not so girly.

Coachella vibes

Aloha lovely humans!
Everybody please spread your arms wide and let's welcome the sweet hug of TGIF!!!!!!
It's Friday (GMT +8) in Malaysia and everybody,
please act like it.

Anyway,
since today is Friday,
I really want to go out for a walk, in a nice dress and enjoy window shopping.
So I went pavilion and had lunch with le BFF - Tong Lu.
We work very hard in our diet and our workout routine to be healthy (or look sexy, NAKED),
but not today.

WE HAD CARLS JR BURGERS.

Na... I'm not even 0.01% hot like Kate Upton.

Yours truly.

Le BFF.

Such rare occasion,
I have the mood to peel myself from my warm, fuzzy, messy bed,
put on a dress and some light make up.
Outfit of today, observe.

An aerial view of my OOTD:
black boho dress from Cotton On;
beige shoulder bucket bag from Rubi by Cotton On;
pointy flats with ankle straps from Rubi by Cotton On.

A front view of my OOTD.
By now you should know I'm a HUGE fan of Cotton On.

A little detail shot of my bracelets.

Elephant charm and turquoise beads are from Factorie Foundation ;
black beads bracelet is from Cotton On Foundation.

Need Skechers D-Lites

Aloha humans~
How was your day because my day is goooood~
I played the guitar and playing one of my recent fav- Earned It by The Weeknd.

Gawdddddd................ Smooth and sexy as hell.
The whole kinky but sexy Christian Grey thing haunts me EVERY.SINGLE.TIME when this song is playing.
Boyyyy is he hot or what.

I go with 'what.'

So today,
after I played the guitar until the tip of my fingers turned red and hurt real bad and started to peel by itself,
I surf the Internet and I saw Skechers D-Lites.
I was like WHAT THE F*CK I NEED IT LIKE RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW.

My friends and I are a huge fan of shoes, especially Nike Air Max and Flyknit.
Whenever we see nice design from Nike Air Max,
the photo (yes, only photos) go viral within us and we screamed at the photo,
thinking to buy or not to buy (a huge Shakespeare moment here) although one of us already bought 2 pairs.
Definitely not me and he probably gave no fuck to the Shakespeare dilemma.

So other than Nike Air Max,
I think Skechers D-Lites is my new fav.
D-Lites is already a mega hit in Korea, then slowly to Taiwan, and to Hong Kong.
I wonder had the wildfire spread to Malaysia now.

What I really like about D-Lites is that the colour combination.
It is not limited to only black x grey x white, although it is the most versatile colours combo compare to others.
It has red x blue x white, blue x grey x white, different shades of grey, all white as well.
Skechers also release series called 'Golden Panda',
which is black x white x and a lil touch of gold at the back of the shoes.
There are still plenty of combos out there, so be sure to check it out.

Other than the colours, Skechers outdone themselves by the pattern at the sole.
OMG the animal prints are the little thing that actually grab my attention.
They combine zebra print x leopard print in black, grey and white - they call it 'Wild Panda'.
I'm totally HOOKED. (where is the heart icon when I need one)

Behold... Skechers D-Lites Golden Panda in Black.

If you are not animal prints kind of girl, why not try D-Lites Flourish in White?

Of course, their designs are not limited to these 3 only,
I saw plenty more designs with different materials on Skechers official site,
I shall check them out one by one and go crazy in front of my laptop.
If you are a petite, D-Lites is design with an 1.25 inch of inner sole,
I could wear this ALL DAY.

Hope this blogpost can give you guys a lil more info about this beauty,
I really gotta get a pair of Wild Panda for myself.
But for now, window shopping sounds wonderful.................... T_T

Haul pt 1

Aloha beautiful humans!
I wish y'all having a great day ahead although it's already 3pm (GMT +8) in the afternoon and half of your day gone without any notice.
It's okay being guilty as today is the glorious Saturday.

A lil nasty but grow a pair of o-glorious wings and break free like that sumo dude.

Today is a day that my inspiration hits me hard during my brunch time.
Imma do a haul post - about my shoe obsessions.
I have like...... 87364298194 pairs of shoes,  *no judging and no kidding*
but I only wear a few pairs, the others are eating dust.. I don't know and I'm sorry.

#1 Reebok SubLite Run in Purple

A beauty isn't?
I got dem twins at Royal Sporting House in Bangsar Mall.
If they had the black one I'll definitely get the black one, but never mind. Purple just gets better and better.
I figured out that it's better to get a pair of stylish running shoe cuz I can run in them and also hang out in them.
No point getting 2 different pairs to suit the occasions.
(RE: I'm a student, I don't have any income, and I'm like a frog in a warm pool of GST)
I usually pair this twins with almost every outfit,
a dress for a date,
any top with a pair of jeans,
sweaters and shorts/skirts.
They are very versatile and I'm glad I got the purple pair,
It's not too dull (unless you are a black/white only kind of humans) and really easy to match with any colours. Especially yellow.

#2 Rubi ethnic/boho pointy flats with ankle strap

One of my favourite everday flats from my fav Aussie brand.
I really like the weaving patterns at the tip and at the back of this flats.
Really unique and goes well with simple styling.
I usually wear this when I'm heading out to the mall or for casual occasions,
a sheer or plain top with a pair of black/white jeans,
an ethnic/boho sundress,
an ethnic/boho top with shorts.
The design and pattern is strong and a lil edgy, but also bringing out the femininity.
Huge thanks to the ankle strap! (I'm a lil bias towards flats with ankle straps)
That's why it made into the list.

#3 Rubi Sadie laser cut slipper in White

My sister bought this home one day and it hit me just right there.
The design is simple and a little boyish,
which can neutralize any ver-the-top-girlish-outfit.
Since this pair of footwear is in white,
it can instantly brighten up my overall appearance, especially when I'm pairing with clothes in darker colours.
I usually wear this pair to college or any casual occasion that requires a lot of walking or big movements, (you can identify I wear this often by looking at the crumpled area)
basically it goes well with any style and it's suitable all year round.
So, no worries that it will go outdated someday.

#4 Rubi ethnic stripes strap sandals

I bought this with my sister last year for the Chinese New Year.
New year, new shoes.
It's really comfortable to wear because my feet is not sweating and the sandals won't stink (unless you step into a pile of poo, I'm sorry and remember to buy Toto/magnum/da ma cai).
This pair of sandals is my very first ethnic print item during my obsession for ethnic style and I value it a lot.
I wear this to college often and just match it with simple outfit style,
any top with a pair of jeans,
a simple plain sundress mainly in white or reddish pastel colours,
loose top and shorts mainly to the beach or park.
It's really hot (all year round) in Malaysia and strap sandals is a wiser choice to slip in when walking under the boiling sun, in style.

#5 Converse low rise in Cream

As mentioned in previous post,
I'm a SUCKER for Converse.
I have 2 pairs of them, one is this and another pair in in red high rise.
But I think this cream colour sneaker are more versatile and matches with more of my outfit than the red ones.
Maybe because of the neutral colour, or maybe it's in cream colour.
I like yellow, and cream is really, really, really pale yellow.
I like wearing this in just any casual occasions and to the college - except shoe shopping.
Matching this with my outfit makes me looks casual-not-laid-back and like an easy-going kind of person,
any top with a pair of jeans or shorts (again),
a sundress (again).
The best thing about this is also because is blends well with almost every colour and does not make your colour combination go overboard.
Converse always slays it.

#6 Jane Holli pointy pumps in Beige

The one and only pair of heels that I consider myself go often in it.
I got this because some mood swing or one of the Japanese magazine hit me,
Beige heels are actually quite useful and easy to play with.
I can wear this with formal office wear,
or when I am feeling a lil sexy - sweetheart neckline tube top with skinny jeans/jumpsuits,
or any top with a pair of skinnys (again),
or in any outfit for date/luncheons/formal attending like wedding dinner.
One and only air of heels, but useful in my everyday life.

So these 6 pairs of apparels are basically my everyday footwear, although I have only a pair of feet.
Get your choice right, and you won't need to get a few more pairs of unnecessary... or not.

Sassy

Dear human, hello again.
I finally found a small hobby to enjoy during my semester break - marathon.
Yes and no, a marathon.
It's a no because it's not the running and sweating marathon that turn my toe nail into blue black colour,
it's a yes because it's a TV MARATHON.
OBVIOUSLY.

 Photo from dumpaday

Yes. A TV marathon.
I don't understand why US series has to be so short, like only a few episode and I have to wait for like a year later for the second season - and this is how the loop keeps going on and on and on.
You know, I'm a 'season per day' kinda human.

My words to live by in case you didn't notice.
Recently I'm HOOKED to a series called 'Empire.'
OH MY GAWD IT'S ONE HELLA A DRAMA ALRIGHT.

Everything is like a dramatic drama.
The cast, the storyline, even the music!
OMG they got Timbaland as the music producer,
every track is on point and I'm like "hit the damn repeat button" foreverrrrrrr.
My favourite character is definitely NOT Anika or Lucious or Andre.
Andre is like EWWWWW and his wife - DOUBLE EWWWWW.

I like Cookie Lyon.
She's bold, fearless, speaks her mind out, and her unapologetic attitude really makes me like her a lot.
I mean, who can actually be like her in real life?
Fierce and sassy as hell!

And really,
who can actually rock bold prints, fur, blings and heels like her?
She wearing everything in leopard print are basically my fav~
It's just so Cookie Lyon!

Fierce and loud, just like her character.
Probably inspired by the music divas Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige and Beyonce,
Cookie's style is on-point!
She really rock those bold prints like a #BOSS.
She can even be chic if she wanted to.
I search up the Internet and her looks are also inspired by Balmain, Gucci, YSL and Prada.
No surprise, these big names are killing it!

Well,
my style are quite simple actually,
but I would really love to add some statements in my daily clothing choice.
Leopard print and gold accessories are my recent favs.
I'm definitely eager to experiment these favs.
